8-Step AI Landing Page Workflow

Step-by-step framework to build polished landing pages using Bolt and AI tools

A structured tutorial by Prajwal Tomar that guides you through building a high-quality landing page using Bolt.new and complementary AI tools. It covers turning visual inspiration from Dribbble into structured prompts, swapping in modular components, generating custom visuals, and refining mobile layouts and animations. It helps avoid generic AI outputs by enforcing structured references and iterative refinement.

How it works

1/ Start with design inspiration — find strong references on Dribbble or Behance; focus on clean typography and spacing, strong CTAs, smooth animations and micro-interactions.

2/ Structure before generation — screenshot the inspiration and use ChatGPT to describe the full layout (or use the author's custom GPT SnapPrompt: upload a screenshot, get a detailed landing page prompt instantly). The prompt includes color palette, design principles and a detailed UI breakdown — a blueprint for Bolt.

3/ Generate the first draft in Bolt — paste the detailed prompt into Bolt, upload the design reference image, ask Bolt to build the landing page from both.

4/ Refine sections with custom components — Bolt gets you 70-80% there. Go to 21st.dev, find high-quality component prompts (navbars, hero sections, CTAs), copy the prompt, then in Bolt select the exact section with the Selector tool and paste the prompt.

5/ Generate custom images — screenshot an image you want to replicate, upload to ChatGPT, ask it to write a detailed prompt for a similar image customized to your page; use that prompt in Midjourney, Ideogram, or ChatGPT itself; save the image in Bolt and ask Bolt to use it.

6/ Fix common AI mistakes — align branding (colors, logos), fix spacing and margins, clean typography, add subtle background depth (gradients, soft shadows).

7/ Mobile optimization — over 60% of traffic is mobile: stack sections, adjust font sizes, thumb-friendly CTAs, smooth scroll and spacing.

8/ Add animations — smooth fade-ins, button hover effects, section slide-ins on scroll, subtle background movement; framer motion can be used.
