Content Validation Framework: '3 Нахуя + Схуяли'
A four-question test to validate content ideas before filming or writing
A practical pre-production framework created by video strategist Nikolai Velizhanin to vet content concepts. It evaluates an idea's immediate value, retention mechanics, urgency, and market demand before filming or writing begins. Using it prevents creators from wasting effort on topics that get scrolled past or abandoned midway.
How it works
Before creating any video, Reel, Short, or article, answer these 4 questions:
- Why watch this? (Нахуя это смотреть?): What tangible value does the viewer receive from consuming this content? How does it improve their situation or change their life?
- Why watch to the end? (Нахуя это смотреть до конца?): What is the climax, payoff, or 'cherry on top' that prevents viewers from dropping off halfway through?
- Why watch right now? (Нахуя это смотреть прямо сейчас?): What trigger creates enough urgency to force an immediate click instead of saving it to 'Watch Later'?
- What makes you think people care? (Схуяли вы решили, что это интересно?): What proof or validation exists that your target audience actually wants this (e.g., search queries, validated viral references/formats from other creators or foreign YouTube)?
What it's for
- Filter video concepts during content planning sessions
- Structure short-form scripts to increase retention and completion rates
- Test article and post pitches for genuine audience interest and urgency
Key points
- Define clear viewer value: identify the concrete benefit or transformation the viewer gains
- Identify retention triggers: establish the payoff or climax that keeps viewers watching to the end
- Inject urgency: design hooks that demand immediate viewing rather than being saved to 'Watch Later'
- Validate market demand: check search interest and proven viral references before committing to production
