# The 5 Levels of Entrepreneurship

A conceptual framework by Matt Gray that categorizes the operational stages of building a business. It maps the progression from unfocused tinkering to building products, establishing systems, and automating operations. Founders can use it as a diagnostic tool to identify their current bottleneck and transition toward business autonomy.

## How it works

The 5 Levels of Entrepreneurial Evolution:

- Level 1: The Tinkerer – Curious and exploring possibilities, but lacking a clear vision or structured execution.
- Level 2: The Builder – Has created a product, but lacks tracking, measurement, and consistent metrics.
- Level 3: The Systemizer – Acts as an architect of business, structuring core ideas into documented, repeatable operational processes.
- Level 4: The Automater – Focuses on peak efficiency, using automation to let systems run operations without constant manual intervention.
- Level 5: The Autopreneur – Achieves full location and time freedom, capable of working anywhere, anytime, on anything, with anyone.
