Supabase Stripe Wrapper
PostgreSQL foreign data wrapper to query and write Stripe data via SQL
The Stripe Wrapper is a Postgres foreign data wrapper built into Supabase Wrappers that maps Stripe API endpoints directly to foreign tables in your database. It lets you query transactions, invoices, and checkout sessions with standard SQL, and directly insert, update, or delete records like customers, products, and subscriptions without custom ETL pipelines. Credentials can be managed securely through Supabase Vault.
What it's for
- Query Stripe charges, balances, and invoices directly alongside application tables in Postgres
- Sync customer and subscription status changes via SQL commands without dedicated webhook syncing scripts
- Join Stripe payment data with internal user analytics inside database queries or reporting tools
Features
- Maps Stripe API entities into standard Postgres foreign tables using SQL schemas
- Read-only support for charges, balance transactions, events, invoices, payment intents, and disputes
- Read and write support (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE) for customers, products, and subscriptions
- Direct integration with Supabase Vault for encrypted API key management
- Pushdown filtering support to optimize API queries based on WHERE clauses like ID or email
- JSONB attributes column for inspecting raw Stripe API response properties

Why it was saved
- @supabase: Shows the whole setup flow: install from the Integrations catalog, paste a Stripe secret key, create a foreign schema, and get foreign tables (charges, customers, events, invoices, payment_intents, etc.) in the Table Editor — Stripe data queryable in Postgres in under a minute.
- @supabase: The link http://fdw.dev/catalog/stripe points to the Stripe wrapper's entry; the catalog indexes the many wrappers visible in the video (Airtable, Auth0, BigQuery, ClickHouse, Cloudflare D1…).
