Social Stockfish
AI conversation assistant using Monte Carlo tree search to optimize text replies
Social Stockfish is an experimental conversational reasoning assistant built during DevFest 2025. It applies chess-engine-style Monte Carlo simulations across hundreds of potential future conversation branches to calculate and suggest the optimal next message toward a user-defined goal. Rather than relying on simple linear chain-of-thought, it visualizes state exploration and scores replies by expected value.
What it's for
- Simulate future conversational branches to decide what text to send next
- Optimize messaging tactics toward a specific social or dating objective
- Study alternative AI reasoning paradigms like Monte Carlo tree search for NLP
Features
- Goal-oriented conversational input field
- Parallel simulation of hundreds of potential conversation outcomes
- Ranked reply recommendations scored by expected outcome value
- Conversational State Exploration dot-grid UI displaying branching paths
- Monte Carlo evaluation grid interface
- Integration running alongside iMessage
Pricing
Free. Hackathon project (unreleased public build)
