# Low-KD Competitor Keyword Gap Strategy

> Workflow to find and target low-difficulty competitor keywords using Semrush and Feedspot

This SEO workflow identifies easy-to-rank search terms by analyzing competitor content gaps. You find relevant niche blogs via Feedspot, compare their domains against your own using Semrush's Keyword Gap tool, and filter for low keyword difficulty terms to build a quick-ranking content plan.

## How it works

1. Find competitors: Go to blog.feedspot.com, search your industry topic (e.g., 'digital marketing'), and copy the URLs of 4 to 5 top competitor blogs.
2. Open Semrush: Go to Competitive Research \> Keyword Gap.
3. Add domains: Enter your website domain and the competitor URLs, then click Compare.
4. Filter results: View the keyword comparison table, click 'All', and sort by 'KD' (Keyword Difficulty) to find the easiest terms.
5. Select targets: Identify keywords in your competitors' column that you do not rank for, ensuring they have low KD (green indicators) and decent monthly search volume.
6. Create content: Write targeted blog posts centered around those low-hanging-fruit keywords.
