# ICN SMARTPASS

> Biometric facial recognition app for departures at Incheon International Airport

ICN SMARTPASS is the official identity registration app from Incheon International Airport. It registers your passport chip data and facial biometric profile so you can use dedicated express lanes at departure gates and boarding checkpoints. Once configured, a registration lasts up to five years, eliminating the need to repeatedly present physical documents at departures.

## How it works

How to set up and use SmartPass:

1. Download the SmartPass app (ICN SmartPass) on iOS or Android.
2. Tap 'SMARTPASS ID Registration', scan your biometric passport's photo page, then scan the NFC biometric chip by holding your phone against the passport.
3. Add and register your boarding pass in the app.
4. At the airport, proceed to the dedicated SmartPass / Face ID lane and pass through biometric facial recognition gates.
