# Enable Account Suggestions on Instagram

> Instagram setting to have your profile suggested on similar accounts

This is an account setting available on Instagram's desktop website that allows your profile to appear as a recommendation when users view similar accounts. Enabling it helps increase organic discovery and follower growth without paid ads. It is frequently overlooked because it must be toggled on desktop rather than the mobile app.

## How it works

To enable profile recommendations on Instagram:

1. Open Instagram in a desktop web browser (instagram.com) and log into your account.
2. Go to your Profile and click 'Edit profile'.
3. Scroll to 'Show account suggestions on profiles' ('Включить рекомендацию аккаунтов в профилях').
4. Toggle/check the box to allow your account to be recommended to others.
5. Click 'Submit' ('Отправить') to save changes.
