# Deodorizing Trash Cans with Essential Oil Cotton Balls

This household tip uses cotton balls scented with essential oils to neutralize and mask odors in trash cans. Placing them at the bottom of the can beneath the liner creates a simple deodorizer without commercial chemical pucks. It provides an easy, low-cost way to maintain freshness in bathroom or kitchen bins.

## How it works

Apply several drops of essential oil onto 3-4 cotton balls and place them at the bottom of the empty waste bin before inserting the trash liner bag.
