# 7 Essential Instagram Settings to Boost Reach

> Seven built-in account settings to increase reach and algorithm distribution on Instagram

This checklist highlights seven native Instagram configuration settings that maximize content exposure. Toggling these options ensures high-definition video uploads, search engine indexing, and cross-platform distribution on Facebook. It is a quick audit to remove default visibility limits for growing accounts.

## How it works

To optimize your Instagram account for algorithm distribution, enable these 7 settings:

1. Recommend on Facebook (Reel sharing screen): Turn on 'Рекомендовать на Facebook' (Recommend on Facebook) so your reels can be shown to Facebook users.

2. Allow Downloads (Reel advanced settings): Enable 'Разрешить людям скачивать ваши видео Reels' (Allow people to download your reels).

3. Highest Upload Quality (Media quality settings): Turn on 'Загружать в самом высоком качестве' (Upload at highest quality) so your videos do not get compressed.

4. Search Engine Visibility (Account privacy settings): Enable 'Разрешите общедоступным фото и видео появляться в выдаче поисковых систем' to allow your posts and reels to appear in Google search results.

5-7. Facebook Crossposting (Crossposting settings): Link your Facebook Page and enable automatic crossposting for Stories ('Ваша история'), Feed posts ('Публикации'), and Reels ('Видео Reels').
